Purchase: I bought this blanket from State Line Tack for $49.99. I was looking for a sheet for those cooler but not quite cold spring and fall nights. I wanted something breathable and warm enough but not too warm.
Likes: I really like this sheet. The material is very breathable, but still warm. The fleece at the withers has kept my horse's mane nice and neat, and the nylon lining at the shoulders has prevented my horse from any rubs. The surcingles hold the sheet in place well, and the removable elastic leg straps are nice for keeping the sheet in place when the horse rolls. The front is secured with two buckles, and although sometimes time consuming, I have had no trouble with them. The material has held up fairly well, with now obvious wear besides that the horses have inflicted.
Dislikes: There is very little I do not like about this sheet. The front gapes open a bit at the front where the material doesn't quite meet. The material is easy for the horses to rip, especially when one bites another. Once there is a rip in the fabric, it is very easy for it to keep growing. One of the surcingles on my sheet ripped where it was sewn into the sheet when my horse rolled. The sheet has to be on just right or the surcingles won't reach to where they fasten.
Quality: The material is 100% cotton. There is nylon lining in the shoulders, and fleece at the withers. It is a buckle closure, two crossed surcingles, and removable elastic leg straps.
Summary: Overall, this is a decent sheet for the price. It keeps my horse from getting chilled, but I don't recommend it if your horse's stable buddies like to bite your blankets.
