Purchase: I first bought the boots quite a few years ago for my show Quarter Horses and loved them. A few weeks ago I decided I wanted a pair again for my new gelding who is in training. I remembered how much I liked and trusted the Davis brand boots and bought a pair of the Davis Splint Boots again from an online catalog for $19.95.
Likes: I like the reliability from the Davis Manufacturing company. I like the ease with which they are used, the protection they provide and not to sound shallow but the awesome color choices. I like that they give so much support and protection without the huge price tag.
Dislikes: To be honest, there is nothing that I don't like about this unit. I was turned on by the idea of the SMB boots and the added protection they provided, and looked for the same style protective boot from Davis Manufacturing with no avail. I ended up getting the splint boots instead, but wasn't disappointed simply because I know the Davis Splint Boots are exceptional boots.
Quality: The boots have a design to absorb shock. They have absorbtion tubes on the outside, fit to the leg, cushion on the inside to stay in place, they support the tendons and ligaments, and have three straps. They are high quality boots!
Summary: I just adore these boots, they are so reliable. With everything else to worry about now-a-days, these boots are one thing not on my worry list!
