Purchase: I bought the saddle at a local tackshop as a kit along w/slightly used Stubben girth, Stubben breastplate, Medallion super-quilt saddle pad, Tory stirrup leathers and stirrups. All together it was $800. The saddle was used but in GREAT condition. I'd say alone it would have sold for $450-500.
Likes: I love the way it fits me and the horse that I ride, its got a medium tree and is 16 or 16 1/2 in long. My horse is a 15.3 hh paint and it fits him perfectly. This is also a great saddle for hunters or equitation because you can ride with long stirrups or you can do jumpers and ride with short stirrups and its got a nice medium to large size knee rolls which have aided me before. I am 5' 6'' and weigh 100 lb so this saddle is perfect for people like me!
Dislikes: I personally like the suede knee rolls for the look and grip that they have, but most people don't, and I don't know if the newer saddles come with suede knee rolls though. Also the chestnut color is hard to match tack too because my girth and bridle are too red, but my breastplate is too dark.
Quality: The leather is of very nice quality, I think my saddle was made before the company got bought out because the newer saddles aren't quite as nice. The billet straps are reinforced with nylon, and the seat is extremely comfortable, great on long trail rides.
Summary: This saddle is absolutely perfect for me, being on a restricted budget, interesting body build, and the need of a hunter, jumper, equitation saddle. If you want a good saddle for beginner, intermediate, or advanced this is the perfect saddle, also if you are tall, thin, and lightweight.
