Purchase: Well As you Thoroughbred Owners know our thoroughbreds always change their shape and size. My gelding did just that so it was time to get a new saddle. I saw the collegiate Close Contact Easy Change Gullet saddle and I thought "PERFECT" so if my gelding ever changed his shape again i could just change the gullet to fit him again.
Likes: I love the quality of the saddle. It's very comfortable and it seemed like it was already broken in. My favourite feature is that you can change the gullet to fit any size of a horse! As well as the stirrup bars don't hold your stirrup leathers in so if you fall off the stirrup leathers with just slide off.
Dislikes: My one only biggest concern is the quality of the saddle flap. It is the type of tanned hide that the color rubs right off, and I'm a big clean/neat freak when it comes to horse tack. So you have to saddle soap it every time you ride.
Quality: The quality is great. Like I said it's rich, full grain havana leather breaks in easily. And I love the fact that it is wool stuffed making the seat and knee rolls extremely comfortable. But yet the only downfall of the saddle is how the color on the saddle flaps rubs off.
Summary: I recommend the saddle for anybody with a horse that changes in body shape or size. Also for an extremely durable saddle that is very versatile but also affordable.
