Purchase: I purchased it from Country Supply, looking for an easy to maintain, wide tree synthetic AP saddle for hacking on long trail rides.
Likes: I love this saddle! The wide tree fits my barrel-shaped Arabs' backs to a T -- perfectly even sweat patterns on two different horses! My green horse is much more comfortable moving out and gives huge extended trots now. I like most of the surface of the saddle -- it's a nice synthetic material. The seat is moderately deep, with just enough stick but not too much to allow you to get out of the saddle for a jump or two-point.
Dislikes: While most english riders will like this, I would rather have a less forward seat set to the stirrups and more of a dressage set -- but I guess I'll have to try out the Redi-Ride Dressage model and see how that one works!
Quality: The billets are nice, sturdy nylon. The adjustable knee rolls are nice to have and really stick on the velcro material, so you can put some pressure on them and not worry about them moving around. But You can tell that they scrimped on the knee roll fabric -- I can tell it will be the first to go -- kind of looks like a spandex-type material. Also, I would like to see a larger velcro area for more adjustment of the knee rolls.
Summary: This saddle is a keeper, and I'll be getting the Dressage model also!
