Purchase: I bought this saddle (demo) from Classic Saddlery. I am a short rider and had been having a real time finding a saddle to fit me and my fat QH. I called them and within 15 minutes she had figured out which one was for me and at about 1/3 of the price of the others that are equal in quality. A wither tracing wasn't even required.
Likes: The leather is so soft I still can't believe it every time I use it. The seat is secure and I can stay with my horse no matter what we are trying to accomplish but don't feel forced into position. The flaps are just right so my horse can feel my lateral aids and his shoulders and spine are finally free to actually do the work. He can actually extend his trot.
Dislikes: Nothing that I can think of.
Quality: Very well made using fine leathers. The color is a beautiful black with a nice natural shine. I would say it is at least equivalent, if bot better, in quality to the Jaguar I bought that didn't fit. everyone at my barn are impressed by the softness and look of the different leathers they used.
Summary: I love this saddle and am planning on getting a Classic Saddlery Contour jumping saddle when I can. If you have a hard to fit horse and some issues of your own try giving them a call. I bet they can help and their trial policy is better than most.
