Purchase: I love to ride bareback and thought this product might help to keep my jeans cleaner and add to my comfort. It was about 40$ through state line tack.
Likes: This bareback pad has thick firm foam that actually provides comfort and doesn't compress excessively. The fleece fabric is soft and comes in a variety of patterns. This pad was also very reasonably priced, and comes with a matching breastplate.
Dislikes: There really isn't anything I didn't like, but there are some things I would change. I would move the d - ring attachments on the pad up higher because the breastplate was impossible to fit properly, at least on my horse. Also, I would move the girth back, but all bareback pads seem to have the girth very forward. If you have a pony I doubt you will have enough holes to get the girth tight enough.
Quality: Construction and quality is good for the money. I wish the breastplate buckles weren't so flimsy. I love the padding and roller buckles on the girth.
Summary: I think this bareback pad has some great qualities and is a bargain.
