Likes: This saddle is very comfortable to sit in. It has a nice wide gullet with plenty of space for the withers and spine, so the horse can be happy as well. I did a lot of research before purchasing a dressage saddle, and I've found it to be everything I've been looking for. This saddle is called a "trainer in a box" because the large kneeblocks keep your leg firmly and securely in place in a classical dressage position. The seat is nice and deep without being restrictive. One of the billets is slightly angled to form a "V" position which helps a lot to keep the girth secure.
Dislikes: I really haven't found anything I dislike about this saddle. Some people, however, may find the kneerolls to be too prohibitive if they like to move their leg around or have more of a bent knee.
Quality: Quality is amazing as is construction. They didn't take any shortcuts! Even used, there are hardly any dings in the leather, the billets aren't badly stretched, the stitching is perfectly in tact, and the panels are still plush. I wish all saddles held up as nicely!
Summary: Thornhill is truly one of the best kept secrets in the saddlery business. The Germania/Klasse shows their excellent workmanship and perfect design. I love this saddle!
