Purchase: I bought this saddle new from Crawford Saddlery for $1580. I needed a new saddle that would accommodate my 3 year old mare for both trail riding and show jumping in terms of comfort and performance.
Likes: This is the most comfortable and most versatile saddle I have ever had. It is excellent quality leather, soft and deep seat though it is built up in the back for jumping. It also has blocks in front of and behind the leg to steady the leg and makes for a more comfortable ride. The wide tree fits my QH/TB mare perfectly and will accommodate her when she fills out a bit more as well. I could ride in this saddle all day!!
Dislikes: The leathers are very stiff but since it is a new saddle that is to be expected.
Quality: Fantastic...I have always been a fan of Stubben and this is no exception...unlike their older saddles that were fairly hard, this saddle is built more for comfort but obviously very well made. Stubbens last forever.
Summary: I would highly recommend this saddle to anyone that does a lot of different things with their horse whether it is jumping or trail riding or cross country.
