How I heard about the tack shop: Through the "Chronicle Of The Horse" Message Boards!
Why: The trend seems to be ESKADRONS, but my friend had a pair of Veredus, and I liked the look of these better.
Paid: I cant remeber, but no more than $180 US funds for the set, possibly cheaper?! ... even after exchange rate and shipping to Canada, it was still cheaper to purchase from them versus buying up here in Canada!
Likes: What I liked about the product...
They are "Lycra" lined versus Neoprene... I've heard some horses are allergic to Neoprene... mine isn't, but it IS a nicer material.
Waterproof, and they don't absorb moisture!
They are easily able to be thrown in the washing machine.
Double Velcro lock closures.
The shape of the boots, cobined with the Gel formed to the legs much better than any "Eskadron Gel" version.
The "look" is more luxurious for a "non-leather" boot versus other brands of the same material... in my opinon!
If it's ever needed, you can buy replacment Velcro Straps
Dislikes: Nothing so far! I'm saving them for "shows" and have yet to show in them... I guess the test will be in the mud, or if my horse ever corks himself on the boots to see their durability!
Quality: Consist of a semi-rigid shaped polyurethane outer shell with self-molding gel interior and lycra® lining.
The mixture of cork oak paste (corflene) and Poliuretanic gel gives the ATG thermo molding qualities.
Summary: More pricey than the Eskadrons, but a completly different type of "quality", and I'd use Eskadrons as "schooling" boots, and keep Veredus for show days as they're more expensive and "prettier"! ;)
