Purchase: A friend suggested this saddle package as a nice show set. I bought it from a 'discount tack store' and paid $500.00
Likes: I like the fact that it comes as a package. No need to shop around for matching headstall, reins, breast collar, etc. Not only did it include those items, but also a blanket, girth and bit. It was nice not to worry about those items. The seat is padded a bit with suede and the 4 inch cantle gives a bit more security and keeps you feeling deep in your seat. The toolin gis okay, not that great.
Dislikes: I was suprised about how the tooling seemed to wear down a bit. Same with the silver trim. It is nice, but a bit tarnished. That may be my fault, maybe I didn't care for the saddle as well as I should have.
Quality: I'd say average. I bet if I cared for it better it would be in nicer shaped than it is now. It's about 4 years old I think, and in average condition.
Summary: I wouldn't buy this package again for myself, but would probably recommend it for a beginnner.
