Purchase: I bought this saddle from a private seller. It had been barely used for 6 months, and I paid $650 for it.
Likes: The construction can't be beat. As with all Barnsby products, the quality of the leather and the stitching is impeccable. It is also incredibly comfortable to ride in. It fits a Standardbred that I trainride as well as my Thoroughbred mare. My mare is not able to jump, and the flap is perfect for hunter on flat because it's not cut as far forward as a close contact.
Dislikes: I got mine at a GREAT price; I haven't been able to find any other Barnsbys in this condition for anywhere near $650 (my trainer was more than a little jealous when she learned how much I had paid). They are expensive saddles, and they're worth it, but it's a lot of money.
Quality: Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I expect this saddle to be with me for a very long time.
Summary: I love my saddle. It's well made, beautiful, and comfortable for both me and my horse. What more could I ask for?
