Purchase: I purchased this item from State Line Tack for $45.00 because I needed a breastplate and a running attachment and I wasn't looking to spend a fortune on a breastplate. Also, It was the only breastplate that came in a color that matched my Stubben saddle - it is a rarely used color called Noce and I can't find ANY fittings that match.
Likes: For the price it is REALLY decent quality. The leather is not plastic feeling. It is soft and pretty well made. It serves it's purpose well, and I like that the sides of the yoke are also adjustable so it fits almost any horse. It's attractive looking - fancy stitched with white, but not overly decorated. I use it for both schooling and showing.
Dislikes: The backside of the yoke leather - and only in that one part - the leather is not "finished" so it's not the smooth bridle leather the rest of the breastplate and running martingale attachment is. Other than that - no problems at all.
Quality: Very well made for the price. Stainless steel fittings, fancy stitched, running attachment included. Smooth leather, and a really decent price. Everything is adjustable to fit the horses. A great deal for the price you pay.
Summary: Everything I expected for the price I paid. Decent quality and will work fine until I decide to get a higher quality breastplate for showing.
