Likes: These are sturdy warm waterproof riding boots to wear in winter. Haven't taken them off since I got them. They have suede on your inside leg and great tread on the bottom. Interestingly, I use them as an all around winter boot where I live. You can even wear snowshoes with them comfortably! Ariat is known for comfort and fit and you will experience that again with this boot. I need a half size which is difficult to find in a winter boot. They do not have a zip but it hasn't been an issue. They slip on and off easily without a boot pull.
Dislikes: Tall winter boots by nature are beefier than regular paddock boots. As such you will lose some feel around your heel and inside leg when riding. But you know what? When I'm cold and there's 2 feet of snow on the ground I'm willing to forgo some feel for warmth when I'm on my way to the barn. In my opinion they are ideal for cold month trail rides when you must have protection from the elements.
Quality: Suede on the inside and deep tread on the bottom. Less likely to slip on ice or snow. No zip, but it has velcro strap on the side. No problem getting in and out of these. Well worth the money.
Summary: Great boots. Now that I have them I don't know how I lived without them. Wear them all the time.
