Purchase: I do not own one of these saddles, but my old lesson barn and a therapeutic barn I volunteer at has them for their students to ride in. Ive ridden in a lot of these saddles. I believe they run about $500 new.
Likes: I like that they are pretty lightweight and easy to carry. They do not show much dirt on them, and are easy to clean. They are very easy to put leathers off and on for quick class changes at the barn. They are very durable and last for a long time, and are not super expensive.
Dislikes: When I'm riding, I constantly feel like my leg is sliding forward, although I'm not sure if it really is or its just me. I do not feel like that in another saddle I ride in. Also the flaps don't really fit my short legs, but are still somewhat comfortable to ride in. I think they are more bulky (as in not very close to the horse) as I feel in other saddles, which I don't like but I am used to a close contact saddle. Wintecs just put me in a bad position and I just don't like them very much, but that is more of a personal opinion. I know many people who just love them and really like them.
Quality: They are pretty good quality and fit a huge variety of horses. At the therapeutic barn, they have horses ranging from draft crosses to medium ponies and they fit all of them great. Its a great product if you really can't afford, or just don't have the time for a leather saddle.
Summary: I personally wouldn't buy one, but that's more of just my opinion. I think they are great for beginners just learning to ride, and people who don't want to show much. I personally don't really like them.
