Manufacturer: Ainsley
Model: Rubens Dressage Saddle
Category: Dressage Saddles

Purchase: Paid $500 GENTLY used in near new condition from Bucks County Saddlery in PA. I event and needed my first Dressage Saddle. I had tried one Ainsley and loved it, so this one looked like a great first saddle.

Likes: I can't believe I found such a GREAT saddle for $500. Its got a very deep seat that is soft. Grippy buffalo leather on the entire saddle. Adjustable tree, so it fits any horse I decide to use it on. Wool flocked panels, 2" cutback head, and a tall knee roll. Quality of leather is wonderful - broke in like a dream and leather is soft as butter. Puts you in a wonderful position, as the seat is deep and is super comfortable to ride in. Recessed stirrup bars are well out of the way of your leg.

Dislikes: It has no stirrup leather keepers, but it has no effect as you can't feel the leather moving around at all - it often traps under the stirrup leathers and stays there while you ride. The knee roll could extend back further on the panels - I find my leg sliding forward easier than I do in Dressage Saddles with wider knee rolls that block your legs backward into place.

Quality: High quality black Buffalo hide leather. Deep seat, recessed stirrup bars, 2" cutback head. Wool Flocked panels, knee roll.

Summary: A really good dressage saddle. Is super comfortable, and a great overall saddle. Will definitely last a good long time and perfect for beginners and advanced riders.
