Purchase: I bought this saddle from a small tack shop in Massachusetts. I was looking for a nice, new show saddle for my new gelding. I paid $800 for this.
Likes: I really like how it carries the rider. The seat is extremely comfy, and I can go for hours in it. The off-billet that comes with it is easy to fit my cinch to. Also, I really liked the fender length. I am a short person (5'1") and I was able to get the correct length without having to add holes.
Dislikes: There were many faults with this saddle. I found that the silver 'caps' on the show strings constantly came off, it appears that they were just slid on and hammered down tight (no glue, nails, or screws to keep it secure). One of my stirrups actually broke off while I was riding a horse for a prospective buyer. It turns out that the piece that was inside the stirrup cracked and broke, causing the stirrup to slide off the fenders. The saddle also tends to slip back and pinch my horse. He's a big, stocky QH, and the skirt will start going up and over his hipbones after riding for a few minutes. The wither area was also too narrow, and made my horse extremely sore.
Quality: The construction was of fair quality. The leather is very nice, but I found that one of the nails constantly came loose. The stitching was excellent, but the hardware could use some drastic help.
Summary: Overall, I would NOT recommend this saddle, unless you don't ride very often. It is of fair quality, but you can spend your money more wisely on a better saddle.
