Purchase: I was at a local beauty shop for myself and stumbled upon this so I thought I'd give it a try. I think it was 6 or 7 dollars.
Likes: It advertises that it repels dust, prevents tangles and gives a high gloss shine, and it does. I used it on my own hair as well as a tester before using it on my horse. I have thich coarse hair just like a horses mane. It added shine all right!
Dislikes: You need to be careful how much you use. In my opinion, it give a shine, yes, but a bit too much, a little too greasy/slimy for me. I think that if there was a lesser concentration it may be better. I don't think I'd use this before a show because of the same reason, too shiney.
Quality: It's a normal spray bottle like most grooming products, it's easy to use. I don't think that the quality is that of some other products like Absorbine, Farnam, etc grooming products. But I guess this company gears a bit towards people instead of horses, as I see the shampoo a lot in local Walmarts and even grocery stores.
Summary: This would probably work better as a detangler or maybe getting burrs out of a mane or tail. I don't recommend it for the show ring though.
