Purchase: I bought these from farmhouse tack for $175 at a horse show in Lexington.
Likes: I love the lightweight and cheese-grater pads! These irons weigh less than the leathers- truly!!! I got the black irons with the blue flex to match my eventing stuff! I never loose my irons on course- even through the water and up out of it!!!
Dislikes: The price hurts- esp because they do not give as much as the Sprengers. Also, the rubber coating on the flex part is wearing away from the outside of the ball of my foot! For this price, this is unacceptable! Also, it is very hard to adjust your foot in the stirrup because it is so light. I did loose my stirrup once while schooling and it was kind of hard to get it back because it really swings!!! Kind of ugly- even George Morris hates these stirrups!!!
Quality: OK- everything but the flex part seems awesome, but the flex part will probably only last me another year- 2 tops. Would be a lot sooner if I rode more than one horse in my saddle and only rode in this saddle (I also ride in a dressage saddle).
Summary: I would buy the regular ones, but not the flex- they are NOT worth half the price! Maybe the Prestige ones are better?
