Model: Stadium Jumping Saddle
Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle at Rick's Heritage Tack Shop in Pennsylvania. They are well known around here to carry a huge selection of saddles, and I was in need of a new saddle since the one I was currently using was sitting on my horse's spine.
Likes: Pessoa's saddles took my attention after looking at a variety of brands at the tack shop. They are made of high quality leather that looks just beautiful, and they are very comfortable to sit on. I purchased this certain make because I am longer legged and was looking for a nice saddle that didn't force me into uncomfortable seat and balance and accommodated my long leg. This saddle did it perfectly, my trainers say it keeps me in a wonderful position and I am very comfortable while I ride. I love the triangle block in front that gives me great security, and I feel well balanced over my fences. I don't feel like I am fighting to keep my place. I also loved the dee rings on the front of the saddle for attaching breastplates to, because they are re-enforced with nylon, so you don't have to worry about them breaking and ruining the saddle value.
Dislikes: The color is pretty, but I wish it came in a more traditional havana color, but it isn't a huge problem, it is just difficult to find leather goods that match. Also, this is really a close contact saddle, so if you have a horse with high withers or a hard to fit back, you may have difficulty with this saddle. I had to buy a spine free half pad to make sure this saddle stayed off my horse's spine.
Quality: Quality and construction is very good. It seems to be holding up superbly, and the leather is still soft and supple and beautiful. I get a lot of compliments on how comfortable and nice my saddle is.
Summary: I really like this saddle, and recommend it to someone with longer legs that wants a saddle that is secure and comfortable, but not controlling. It is a beautiful saddle that lets YOU feel like you are in control of your body and not the saddle. It is difficult to fit to some horses, but a nice half pad helps a great deal. Very good for the money.
