Purchase: Bought this saddle for 539 in 2001 from a tack store. Selected the Cair panels as advertising promised comfort for the horse. Also had the changeable gullets.
Likes: I liked the soft seat, suede-like seat and knee pads. Was very easy to clean and I never worried about getting it wet or dirty or scratched. Had the leather billets which was nice too.
Dislikes: As my Quarter Horse got into work and expanded (!) changing to the wide gullet made the back of the saddle bob up and down. The Cair panels, while a good concept, seemed to make the saddle really bouncy which made it hard to hold your position. I did have a problem with squeaking when I wore rubber boots. It was ok with leather chaps. In all, I felt if your horse is wider than the medium wide gullet, the back panels are not deep enough to keep the saddle level.
Quality: Very nicely made and not at all "plastic" (unlike the Wintec bridlework which is very stiff and plasticy). Was very easy to sell on - folks like the gullet feature.
Summary: Nice saddle and very convenient but not for the wider horses.
