Purchase: I paid $62 from Dover in 2004.
Likes: I absolutely LOVE these boots! I keep my horses at home, have 2 boarders, and do all my own work, so I spend a lot of time outside. AND I have a circulation problem resulting in cold hands and feet. My feet were frozen blocks of ice much of the time before I got the Rimfrost Riders. Now they are warm even when it's VERY cold. I don't even bother with wool socks. Just plain old cotton socks are enough with these boots.
They are also great for general farm work, hiking, etc. I wear them most of the time in the winter.
Dislikes: Really, nothing! Some people think they look too clunky, but I like that look. If you want a more streamlined look, get the Ice Riders (same warmness, less bulk).
Quality: They are very high quality in every way. You hose them off to clean them, and I have walked through my creek in them more times than I can remember. They are holding up great.
Summary: If you want to stay warm in the winter, these are must-have item. I preferred the paddock shoes over the tall boots b/c the tall ones seemed stiff, but I have a boarder who has the tall boots and she loves them, so I guess not. Either will keep your feet toasty!
