Purchase: I paid AU$3995 during a visit to my home by a professional UK trained saddle fitter who brought with him 7 saddles for me to try.
Likes: The saddle is dark brown with soft knee pads. Of the 7 jumping saddles I tried on the day, this one made me feel invincible! Being a dressage rider who has branched out to eventing at 42 years of age (and has been competing up to 90cm in my dressage saddle because it was the only one I felt safe in) I could not and still cannot believe how secure, still and confident I feel riding in this "old fashioned" looking, flat seated, square cantled, jumping saddle. You really MUST ride in a saddle before you decide because I would not have even picked this one up off the shelf. It was certainly not the cheapest saddle I tried but, I am so glad I was able to take it home.
Dislikes: I would have preferred a london tan or black saddle, rather than the dark brown. But, it's like horses.... a good horse is never a bad colour.
Quality: Quality is gorgeous. Leather so soft and pliable and squishy knee pads you can lock your knees into.
Summary: For me, this jumping saddle is the ultimate but, everyone is different. My advice is that if you are planning to buy a saddle, you must ride in it first.
