Purchase: I ordered this saddle off the synergist saddle website, and the company sent me an Equi-Measure kit so they could custom make the saddle to fit my horse's back. They also sent me a video on how to measure my horse. They also had me send my physical measurements, ie... seat bone, thigh length and width, etc. so the saddle would fit me too.
Likes: The saddle is very attractive and I had custom tooling done, with a wolf design, and wolf prints. It is two - toned and lined with quality fleece. The padded seat is very comfortable and fits my horses well.
The stirrup leathers are western style, and are built on the centered riding style, which I prefer. It is a very comfortable saddle. It is light weight, and easy to ride and own.
Dislikes: For the type of riding I currently do, I wish I would have gotten a higher cantle, and a larger pommel with a horn. But there are no real complaints regarding the saddle itself.
Quality: The leather is good quality, and with regular care, it still looks like new after 1 1/2 years of riding. The rings are stainless steel, and the fenders have quick-change metal buckles. I also purchased the custom shaped sheep skin pad which I love, and use with other saddles.
Summary: The saddle is a good saddle, however, I was very disappointed with the company, who will not let me trade in my endurance saddle for either a new or used western type saddle. They told me to sell it on ebay, or their ex-mother-in-law might be wiling to take it on consignment for 50% of the price!!!! I know they have used saddles on their website, so why wouldn't' they let me trade mine for a used western style, or trade up for a new one? Especially since they are very expensive, you'd think they would back up their own saddle. After reading the reviews on this site, I'm going to look at obtaining a Crestridge saddle. I know several people who own them, and the quality is just as good as the synergist for half the cost, and apparently, good customer service!!!!!
