Purchase: I purchased these from a local tack shop for $100. I had heard very nice comments about them and had been using leather-soled Justin boots before (yes I switched from western to english) and the ariats were extremely comfortable compared to the Justin boots.
Likes: The boots are very comfortable, and they are not even the higher end ariats! They have a no-slip sole, and elastic at the top and zip on the front so they flex when your heels drop. These are more just as comfortable as my running shoes!
Dislikes: They scratch, but I assume all boots do, these are my schooling boots after all. When they see a lot of wet, muddy weather, you have to polish them with black shoe polish strongly, or the boots will get gray spots.
Quality: Very nicely constructed boots, no failing stitches, have used them very hard for 2 1/2 yrs, and they still are in good show quality condition. Only problem is the sole is starting to come apart from the boot, but all you have to do is gorilla glue it back on!
Summary: I would buy these boots again and again. Although now I ride on a higher level, I wish I had bought ariats nicer boots.
