Purchase: Bought from McMasters Tack of Jupiter Florida, the saddle immediately went up in price $300 after purchase, and at the first show it LOST three VERY necessary bolts out of the stirrups, both sides of the saddle! Attempts to have the bolts replaced AT LEAST were met with stony silence, barely contained nastiness and excuse after excuse. They even had the nerve to tell me, after purchasing a $3000 saddle, that ***I*** should have tightened all saddle parts!!! Kind of like when you buy a new car, having it immediately looked at by a mechanic??? I will be sure and take my MANY saddle purchases to another dealer.
Likes: I do like the saddle or it would have been slapped up for sale the minute after speaking with the McNasty at McMasters...
Dislikes: The dealer.
Quality: Not the top of the line but for as often as I buy show saddles, will do for the 2-3 yrs of use I put into a show saddle.
Summary: TexTan has always been a saddle of choice for me...but there is no shortage of GOOD TexTan dealers out there so be sure you go to one of those...
