I purchased my 209 AF A fork Hardseat Dakota saddlery saddle online and it cost $650 with matching breast collar about 2 years ago.
Likes: It is built heavy to work and it has worked hard. It has roped, shown, broke colts as well as logged lots of trail miles. Good quality leather with good construction has made it an excellent investment.
Dislikes: Took a long time to break in the stirrup fenders. It spent 6 months on a stand with a broomstick through the stirrups when it wasn't being used
Quality: Excellent quality and construction for the price
Summary: Dakota makes a good saddle for the price and their customer service is next to none. I broke an off billet bucking out a stallion for a friend when the saddle was 4 months old and the president of the company returned my call personally and overnighted me a new off billet. no other problems with the saddle and I like them so much I bought two roping saddles for my wife and son to ride.
