Purchase: I bought this saddle in 2003 from a local retailer in Texas. I paid $975 new. I came across it shopping for roping saddles and knew Courts was a reputable saddle company. I took my gelding to the tack store and the saddle fitted him well at the time.
Likes: I love the quality of this saddle... very sturdy and strong. This is not a cheap made saddle.
Dislikes: It's really heavy. I'm a 5'3", 105 lb female and it gets old throwing this 45lb saddle on a 15.2 hand horse! But, that's something I can live with. I do wish it fit every horse (if there was such a saddle:), but it doesn't. I had it fitted for my roping horse and does have full quarter horse bars, but doesn't fit any of my other horses (too wide).
Quality: Very good quality! Heavy, durable leather. It's full quarter horse bars, double rigging, 13" swells, 2 1/2" horn, 14 1/2" seat, roughout fenders and jockeys with basketweave tooling on the housing. Montana Silversmith conchos.
Summary: Would recommend Courts. Overall great quality and workmanship in these saddles.
