Crest Ridge Saddlery
Sonata SR05
Trail Saddles
Manufacturer: Crest Ridge Saddlery
Model: Sonata SR05
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: A friend of mine had one of the other saddles (The Traveler) made by Crest Ridge, and directed me to their website. I found the Sonata SR05, which is a Leather and Cordura blend saddle under their synthetic saddle line. http://crestridgesaddlery.com/sonatasynthetic.shtml
I took the measurements and photos, per the online instructions and was told that either of the Sonata lines would suit my horse. (They have another synthetic line for other shapes of horses).
I Paid $525.00 for the saddle + $35.00 S/H
Likes: It is a VERY good looking saddle and only 20 1/2 pounds. They have a trial period to be sure you like it for you and your horse.
Dislikes: I liked everything about the saddle.
Quality: The saddle is very well made, and extremely comfortable to ride. The seat places you in a deep pocket which makes for a very secure feeling. A real plus is the 1000 denier weight Cordura, which is a MUCH better synthetic material than the type I have on my Wintec, this stuff seems it would hold up forever!
The saddle fits my one horse VERY well. She is an Qtr/Arab cross and we have had a heck of a time finding a good fit. One thing that impressed me about dealing with Crest Ridge is they were very careful to match the saddle to the needs of the horse. I had emailed them photos of both of my horses along with measurements and they were very good about explaining why the tow horses could not be accommodated by one saddle style. ( One is mutton withered with a flat back, one medium withered with a bit of a dip to her back. ) They also gave me wide choices so far as what I wanted. I chose the SR05 from a stand point of price. It is the less expensive of the Synthetic lines they have. BUT this saddle is a lot nicer than ones I have seen which were a lot more or the same price elsewhere.
I am very happy with my purchase, I will be getting another for my other horse soon!

Summary: I got a good fit from me and my horse and my wallet! Top quality and a good looking saddle, I am always getting compliments from others about how nice it is! I would recommend Crest Ridge to anyone!
