Purchase: I purchased this saddle from another horse person, used but in great condition for $500. It was the only saddle I found that I liked and that fit my Thoroughbreds well, and it was a good deal.
Likes: I absolutely love this saddle. It is correctly balanced and very comfortable. I was an eventer so it was used for the show jumping and cross country phases. Being an all purpose I also schooled horses on the flat with it and it worked well. The leather is of good quality, very easy to get and keep supple- it has been sitting for at least 6 months and with one oiling it was right back to the suppleness it had when worked in everyday. Very comfortable for long hours, I worked several horses a day in it and went foxhunting with no sore bums! Everyone who has ridden in it loves it as well. Can't say enough good things.
Dislikes: nothing- I did have to replace the billets but it was used when I bought it so that seemed understandable.
Quality: The saddle has a nice forward flap for jumping and a deep but not a "suck you in" deep seat that is comfortable but easy to get out of for running cross country.
Summary: Love the saddle! Still have it but doesn't fit my new wide horse :(
