Purchase: I purchased this saddle for my Jumper mare in Connecticut at a Beval shop new before moving to Arizona. I paid $2,100 if I recall which I may not.
Likes: Great balance. I needed something with a decent width in the chanel which this saddle has. Plenty of spine clearance room. The leather has held up very well as has the stitching. Secure feeling and correct. Has fit a variety of horses.
Dislikes: I have the short flap, as I am only five foot, and it is still a tad long for me. Not the easiest to break in, although the leather has held up very well to our extremely dry Arizona climate.
Quality: Excellent construction. Excellent leather and very high quality. Not the super soft leather of the high end French saddles, but a great saddle that will last. Very correct in balance and a secure feel.
Summary: A great work horse of a saddle. Excellent construction of durable yet high quality leather. Worth the breaking in time. An excellent choice for someone not able to purchase an expensive French saddle but needs a correct ride.
