Purchase: Purchased at Rick's Saddlery for 149.99 as schooling boots to replace my very old worn out and much loved Aigles.
Likes: Overall styling, removable insoles and rubber soles.
Dislikes: I think that the foot size is a little on the small side, but the calf size runs true to the Ariat size charts.
The left boot of the pair I purchase is significantly larger in the ankle than the right. This was not so obvious until the boots started to drop after a few wearings. Now left boot is too uncomfortable to wear.
Quality: Made in China, but I would have expected better quality control on a boot in this price range. The stitching is well done and they seem to be well constructed apart from the issue with the ankle size.
Summary: I regret buying these boots. I based my choice on brand reputation and probably should have had better help with the fitting.
Maybe they would be worth the $96 they are selling for now at Sierra Trading Post. Check the return policy and wear then inside your home only until they drop.
