Purchase: I got these boots to school in and for wandering around the field looking for my horse. I paid around $200 dollars because I wanted something that lasted.
Likes: I like everything!!!!!!!!!! I've had these boots for 6 years and they still polish up nice. I've actually cleaned them only about 6 times in those 6 years and they still hold up great. I recently acquired a new pair so that I can hopefully take some stress off my first pair (I ride around 5 times a week in all kinds of weather- and I work at my barn wearing these boots).
Dislikes: They are a bit slippery in winter (but that's completely acceptable since they are supposed to be riding boots not winter boots), and they do take a while to break in (I have one foot slightly bigger than the other so I got a blister at first). Once they are broken in though, they feel great. Unfortunately, the second pair I got don't have as much flexibility in the ankles as the first but I'm hoping they'll work out of it.
Quality: Mine are black lace ups (hard to find shoe laces the right length for them though). They are made with soft and yet very durable leather. They have spur rests and a good heel.
Summary: Great boot, I'd recommend them to anyone. They last forever and you don't have to constantly "pamper" them for fear of them falling apart. You can wear them in any weather, anywhere and they always look great. They are worth the price.
