Purchase: I went to Pelham Saddelry in Pelham, NH to try and find a saddle that would fit me. I finally got sick and tired of riding in saddles that did not fit me well. I'm 5'9", very thin, and have a very long inseam, 37". After a few test rides in other saddles, I tested the Passier Precision and loved it, but it still wasn't quite right. I ended up paying $1995, a lot more than I wanted to spend originally (I wanted less than 1K) but it was worth it.
Likes: The leather is very soft and supple. You can get it very customized for no extra charge. I have the 16.5" seat, with the 17.5" flaps moved 2" forward than normal. Therefore making a forward seat jumping saddle that fit my leg (my knee is actually at the knee roll, its a shocker)
Dislikes: I wasn't a big fan of the price, although I do admit its worth it. It also only came in the one color.
Quality: The construction and quality is top of the line. The leather is gorgeous, its soft, supple, easy to clean, and can stand up to long days going through rain, beating sun, and even mud and dirt. It comes in many widths and the tree is wonderful, it fits all my horses (narrow and no whithers too very broad and flat and high withered as well)
Summary: I'm very happy with my purchase of the Passier Precision. It fits me and all of my horses, and the quailty is unsurpassed. Except for the fairly steep price, I love it.
