Purchase: Bought from my local tack shop. I loved the
toasties so much I had to have the summer
version too. They were about $ 150 or so.
Likes: Loved the fit and the fabric and the
extended leather patch, which feel like
riding in chaps. I am not a fan of full
seat breeches but like the extra security
of the extended patch which goes from
crotch to mid calf. The deerskin washes
well (I use Pepede) and air dry them.
Dislikes: They are just a bit to high in the rise for
me although they make a low rise version.
Quality: Very good. MADE IN USA!!!!!!!
Summary: Deerskin is pricey but worth it. You can
get these in clarino too. Tropical Rider is
one of the only USA made clothing manufacturers of equestrian items I can
find, and now that means a lot to me.
