Purchase: I have a retired Harness Racing Standardbred that I have been retraining for Pleasure ridding. He is built short and muscular but with a shorter back than most Standardbreds he looks more like a Morgan and I was having a lot of trouble finding a saddle to fit him and me both I am only 4'8" adult. I went to the Illinois Horse Fair and tried several different saddles and the one that fitted us the best was the Billy Cook barrel saddle. I love it. My horse still has a tendency to buck and with this saddle I am nearly glued to to it. I have never been more satisfied with a saddle. I will have no other saddles in my barn but Billy Cooks.
Likes: I love the way the saddle sits, the quality of of it and how easy it is for me to lift up and cinch. Being a small adult I needed to have a saddle that was built well not to light but not so heavy that I couldn't lift and carry it.
Dislikes: If I would have to describe the least thing I like about it that would be the stirrups.
Quality: The quality of the Billy Cook saddle for the money is outstanding and the construction is exceptional.
