Purchase: I ordered this saddle from Tack Wholesale.com with a package deal for around $265 for bridle, girth, saddle, fittings etc.
Likes: Well pretty much nothing... The saddle pad was probably the nicest feature, a Derby Originals white All purpose pad. The saddle looks nice but is contrary when riding in it. You can't really get much quality though for the price you pay. I guess it would be okay for someone with a really, really low budget but I definitely wouldn't recommend it.
Dislikes: All of the fittings and bridle, girth etc are poor quality, the leather is terribly weak and flecks off in my hands, quite frequently. The bridle is offset and doesn't fit properly on any horse I have ridden. The saddle doesn't take oil and the seat forces you in an upright position. The pommel is set too high and forces the rider to jump above it when in half seat or going over jumps. The back also seems to high. The seat is just poor quality. The billets are short and the leather is breaking already and I oil it every time I ride, it just doesn't take the oil I guess?!?! The price you pay is the quality you get!
Quality: Poor quality on the whole, I don't like one part of the tack I received. Tack Wholesale doesn't really provide the quality I would have liked in the saddle.
Summary: Well I guess you pay for the quality... ;)
