Purchase: I bought these treats at the local State Line Tack for $2.50. I got the 11-ounce bag because I love my horses and they work hard and I always want to reward them!
Likes: My horses love these treats! In fact, the whole barn stocks up on these treats and feeds them to their horses. My trainer fills her pockets with them and rewards her horses when she's riding or teaching lessons and the horse does something exceptionally well. These treats are conveniently bite-sized, so you can give one to your horse when he has a bit in his mouth and he won't have trouble chewing it up. They fit easily in your pocket and are handy for giving to your horse "just because" or as a reward. They smell great, come in a stay-fresh resealable bag, and are fortified with B-complex vitamins. You get a lot of treat for the price - one bag has a ton of treats in it!
Dislikes: I don't have any dislikes about these treats. Unlike some fancy, overpriced brands of horse treats, these are fairly cheap...but most importantly, horses love them!
Quality: Buckeye Peppermint Treats come in an attractive, stand-up, resealable bag with an informative label. They have B-complex vitamins added and aren't like "junk food for your horse" like some treats.
Summary: All the horses at my barn love these treats and if you give them something different, they'll bob their heads while chewing as if to say, "This is pretty weird." You get a lot of treats in one bag, for one cheap price...these treats are highly recommended!
