Purchase: I buy the one-quart bottle of Show Sheen at State Line Tack for $10. I have been using this hair polish for years. It is a great multi-purpose product, everyone uses it, and it's a lot cheaper than other shine products out there.
Likes: Show Sheen is a great product. It gives a high-gloss shine to your horse's coat, makes combing manes and tails easier and gives them a shine, and gives the horse's coat a smooth, sleek feel. It accentuates conditioning, it's not sticky or oily like other shine products, and it helps keep the horse clean by preventing stains. You can feel a noticeable difference in the horse's coat, mane, and tail for days after you use it.
Dislikes: Show Sheen makes the coat too slippery to be used on the saddle area, so you have to be careful when applying it. I recommend throwing a bath-sized towel over the horse's back and just working around that. Also, Show Sheen doesn't smell the greatest, but that doesn't really matter.
Quality: Show Sheen comes in a handy, easy-to-use white spray bottle with the trusted Absorbine logo on it.
Summary: Show Sheen is one of the best products out there. I consider it the original shine product and it's great for shows or just to keep your horse's coat, mane, and tail clean, shiny, and smooth. One bottle lasts a long time, making it a good value. Highly recommended!
