Purchase: I bought these breeches at State Line Tack for $35. I wanted an inexpensive, durable pair of breeches I could use to school and also wear for schooling shows, so I got them in beige.
Likes: I like the way these breeches have belt loops and a fake fly front; they look good in the show ring. I like the four-way stretch fabric, which allows for fairly good freedom of movement and is cool and comfortable, not thick and constricting like some breeches. These breeches have an elastic drawstring waistband and fit well without being too high-rise and constricting.
Dislikes: I don't like the elastic bottom closure. It fits snugly when you're wearing the breeches, but it's hard to put on and take off. It would be much easier if they had Velcro openings like regular breeches. The fabric stained very easily from a tiny bit of hoof dressing. These breeches are also a classic example of getting what you pay for. They're inexpensive, but they don't hold up. After just one summer, the seams in the seat stretched and gave way. A couple of times I could stitch the hole up because it was right on the seam, but then the seat started wearing through as well as the seam splitting, and I gave up.
Quality: These breeches just have poor workmanship. There's no reason they should give way that easily, and they just don't last. The stitching on the rest of the breeches looks good, but the seat needs to be reinforced.
Summary: I'm extremely disappointed with these breeches and I guess you get what you pay for...these just aren't good quality breeches. I instead recommend Tuff Rider breeches; they last forever.
