Purchase: I acquired the 11 ounce bag at a local feed store, Pueblo West Feed in Pueblo West, Colorado.
I had tried many treats on the market and my 2 mares were just not impressed. They would roll the treat right back out of their mouth to the ground, they were just not palatable.
While wandering the the feed section of my local tack and feed shop I picked up a small bag of the Buckeye Nutrition Peppermint Snacks, what struck me immediately was the fresh minty odor coming from the bag. I thought perhaps this new product might be more acceptable to my 2 mares.
Well I am pleased to report that they not only loved the Peppermint Snacks, but have also tried and like the Licorice Snacks made by Buckeye Nutrition. the 11 ounce bag costs $2.49, well worth the money.
Likes: What I really like about this product is the small bag, it is portable you can stow in your tack box or trailer, it also fits in a jacket pocket. The horses look forward to having this tasty treat like no other I have tried.
Dislikes: I cannot report any negative aspects of the product to date.
Quality: Excellent quality and all of the nutrition facts are listed on the bag.
Summary: I highly recommend these treats for your horses. If my finicky mares think they are great I believe any horse would like them!
The convience of the small bag is an added bonus, no crumbs in your pockets!
