Purchase: I bought this saddle new, direct from Antares. It is custom, and thus, took 3 months to come in (i hear it's a longer wait during show season). They currently retail new for $3,700 in calfskin leather. This is the leather option i chose since i wanted something soft and comfortable. I also bought a custom girth with it (i needed a 60") I think that was close to $200.
Likes: This saddle is just amazing. Antares had sent me a loaner saddle as close to what i would be getting, before i bought one, and wow.... as soon as my behind sank into it, it was love. This is THE MOST comfortable saddle i have ever ridden in. Everyone that rides in it wants one or wants to steal mine! The dark "chocolate" leather color is just beautiful. It fits my hard to fit horse perfectly, he's had a lot of back problems with other saddles before (what I thought were nice brands before i laid eyes on my Antares) but i think he loves the antares just as much as I do. My friends with similar saddles of the same caliber (devoucoux etc) even want my antares! The calfskin is marvelous and it still looks perfect after riding in it every day for 3 years. It also allows a nice position on the flat and over fences.
Dislikes: The only thing that's a potential bad-side of this saddle is the price... but really, believe me... it's worth it!
Quality: Amazing. I haven't ever seen tack with such nice quality. Everything is perfect, everything!
