Purchase: Purchased directly from the manufacturer in 2004 with custom d-ring options for $2100.
Likes: My horse loves it, and moves much more expressively and with a freer shoulder. I love how close I feel to the horse. I think it's making me a better rider too!
Dislikes: The saddle has a tendency to roll if you try to mount from the ground. There is no stability without a tree!
The seat sizes run very large. I have a medium, which according to the website equals an 18.5", however an 18.5" flat piece of leather offers much more space than 18.5" over a tree. If I were doing it again I would definitely go down at least one size.
I don't have the deluxe support system, so I can't speak to it, but without it there is no support for the rider. You'd better know how to ride, and where your leg needs to be positioned because this saddle will not help you get there.
Quality: Beautiful, love it.
Summary: This was a great saddle for my older, trustworthy gelding, but for my younger mare I'd much prefer a saddle with a little more support for me. The lack of stability while mounting make it difficult to use on the trail as well.
