Purchase: I bought this helmet at my local tack shop for $73.00 including tax. I needed a new helmet when a recent fall cracked my other one, when I hit the wall. It was also 4 years old, so I would have been needing a new one soon.
Likes: I LOOOVEEE how it fits my head, just PERFECTLY. I had tried on so many different helmets there (Troxels, which is pretty much the only thing they have) which did not fit my head at all.. I was about to give up (I needed a helmet that day, I had a lesson) and then I tried on the Tipperary and it fit just perfectly. Its very comfortable to wear, and very lightweight, and unlike my old helmet, I do not have to keep pulling it forward (It would slip back) when I am riding.
Dislikes: I personally don't really like the look of the helmet- but other then that I love it! I also did not like the leather piece that goes across your chin, but no big deal because it is Velcro, so it is easily removable.
Quality: I think it is made very well, and expect it to hold up for a long time (providing I don't hit any more walls :P)
Summary: I really like the Tipperary Sportage helmet and am glad I could find a helmet that fit great, and didn't cost me a fortune, like I might expect it being from Tipperary. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Tipperary to anyone who is looking for a safe, lightweight helmet.
