Purchase: I bought this saddle on April 15,2004 in Chilliwack, B.C. for $1895.00. We bought this model for my husband who prefers to ride English style and likes the equitation placement of stirrups. In particular, he plans on using it on our young horses on the trail.
Likes: We like the flared bars and rockered tree that Tucker makes which allows freedom of movement for the horse. The equitation endurance saddle model that we bought has English rigging and girth which my husband prefers. The stirrups are in an equitation position which he prefers. The saddle is sturdy, comfortable, and secure for both horse and rider. We ordered it with a wide tree which fits our quarter horses. We've tried it on 4 of our horses and note good free movement and comfort for them.
Dislikes: With the comfortable gel seat that Tucker makes on all saddles, you sacrifice close contact. The heavy duty leather that the saddle is constructed of takes time to break in and soften up with leather conditioner, but this is common with most new saddles.
Quality: Good construction and quality.
Summary: This is our second Tucker saddle. We are very pleased with both of the saddles primarily due to the comfort level for our horses and ourselves.
