Purchase: I purchased this blanket for about $180 online from Equus Now in OHIO. I decided to let my horse have a couple months in the winter off. He spends most of his day outside with a few other geldings playing and causing trouble so i wanted something to hold up for the winter, keeping him warm and dry.
Likes: I love everything about this blanket, from fit to function. The "freestyle" design provides a custom fit to my horses body, like it was made especially for him!
The blanket is waterproof and breathable, so I do not have to layer blankets on my horse. Clip and Dee clasps are great to take blanket on and off my big guy.
The best thing is that he hasn't put one hole in it while outside playing hard.
Dislikes: I was hesitant to spend the money on a heavy winter blanket as I usually just buy new ones every year for much less money. However, it has really been worth the investment and I will be using it for many years to come.
Quality: It is a 1260 D teflon coated. The teflon really reinforces the waterproofing if you have a horse who likes to roll in the mud and destroy blankets.
Summary: The best blanket I've ever owned. The construction, design, fit, and function of this blanket all score a 10 by me. I even called Weatherbeeta before I bought the blanket and they were so helpful and answered all of my questions and directed me to a store where I could purchase the blanket.
It's worth the investment, not a single regret!
