Purchase: I bought this saddle about 7 years ago for $1200AUS but now it retails for much more! I was jumping bigger and needed a saddle that allowed for that but still had a bit of a seat and short flaps as I'm very small.
Likes: Double grain leather seat wears a LOT better than I thought it would. Fit is fantastic- easy change gullet system and flock filling. It is a 'bigger horse' type saddle I have found. Great fit for rider, it is that great balance of not being restrictive but not being a flat board. I can get my legs on my horses side easily, great forward cut flaps (if you have longer legs) and a bit of a seat just in case you need that extra stability (ie. pigroot on landing :)
Dislikes: It has marked where my stirrup leather sit more than my other bates saddle. The price now is also expensive.
Quality: Great leather, good adjustability. A quality saddle that seems to last a long time. Flaps aren't really thin like some and girth straps are thick and sturdy.
Summary: Great saddle for fit, durability and rider comfort. An all around great jumping saddle. It can be a bit bulky under leg if you have very short legs. I'd recommend it to anyone and would never sell it.
