Purchase: I bought this bit from the Libertyville Saddle Shop several years ago. It was expensive then, and still is over $150.00 from most tack dealers
Likes: Expensive? Yes. Worth it? YOU BET!
I have had this bit in my tack box for years and it has paid for itself many times over. I've used it to "lighten" my show hunters in schooling when they get heavy on the forehand after fences. I've used it often for foxhunting and hunter paces with double reins, a flash noseband and a running martingale. In this circumstance, I have complete control but know I am still being kind to my horses' mouth. Works great on horses who need the control of a pelham but don't have a pelham friendly mouth.
Dislikes: Only thing that may turn you off is the price.
Quality: An excellent bit with many different attachment options for different purposes. Mouthpiece is anatomically shaped to be comfortable in horses' mouth and is available in German Silver or Aurigan with Stainless Steel Rings. 70mm Rings.
