Purchase: I bought this from State Line Tack for $450. It is now on sale at State Line Tack for $499. Its regular retail is $799.
Likes: This is the best saddle I have ever owned, and I have owned MANY saddles. I have the model with the slightly padded knee roles. They formed to my knee position in less than a week of daily riding. The saddle broke in almost instantly. I have let many people in my barn ride in this saddle and I have never received a negative remark. Some have even offered to buy it from me for over twice what I paid for it. I previously owned a Bates and the fit of this saddle is much better!
Dislikes: After 4 years of wear I am starting to notice some slight cracking on the top of the pommel. The leather has not completely cracked, but it looks like it might soon. This saddle is ridden in six times a week and cleaned and oiled once a month. Although it is probably not cleaned enough, I don't think that this is the reason it is cracking.
Quality: As I stated earlier, the leather on the pommel is slightly cracking. However, everything else on the saddle is flawless. The leather has darkened beautifully. The billets have not stretched a centimeter and I can not find any structural flaws. I bought a size 16, however in many other saddles I ride in a 16 1/2. Take this into consideration when buying.
Summary: If you come across one of these saddles BUY IT. You will not be disappointed!
