Purchase: I bought this when I was working at a tack store for under $200 new. I got a discount on it however. I think they go for somewhere around $250-300 new.
Likes: This is a very nice bridle. I have gone through a lot of bridles looking for "the perfect one" for my horse, who wears a warmblood sized bridle. I have a really hard time finding one that really fits right, while also being quality leather and craftsmanship. This one has fit the bill for quite a while. It oiled into a very nice medium brown oak color. The leather is very soft and supple. It is really durable.
Dislikes: The only thing I really have a problem with is the raised leather on the noseband and browband didn't darken as evenly as I would like after oiling it many times. It has a bit of a "marble" effect so to speak. However, it's really not noticeable to anyone else, it's a very minor color variation. It wouldn't deter me from buying another.
Quality: The quality of this bridle is very nice. The leather is really soft. The construction of it is top-notch, as I school in it every day, but it's still nice enough to show in. I have previously shown in it, but am now upgrading to an Antares bridle to match my saddle. I still plan on using this one as my main bridle for schooling. The keepers work well and stay tight, which i have found to be a problem on other bridles (you know, they slip down, or are too tight to get on) all of the keepers on this bridle fit correctly and have not stretched.
Summary: Overall, i am very pleased with this bridle. I would recommend it to others.
